Melanotan - tanning without the sun and tanning beds?

Melanotan - what is it?

Melanotan is a synthetic analogue (i.e. equivalent) of melanotropin, a natural hormone found in the human body. The analog was discovered back in the 1980s. Its primary action is to stimulate the secretion of melanin - the pigment that is primarily responsible for the color of our skin.

MT-2 comes in the form of a white, sterile and lyophilized powder. By creating an exact equivalent of the natural hormone, synthetic Melanotan works exactly like its protoplast.

How does injectable melanotan work?

One of the primary, but also most desirable actions of melanotan, is to help achieve and maintain a tan. While a natural tan usually lasts for a few weeks, the use of melanotan can extend this time up to several months.

For men using melanotan, an important function will also be the positive effect of melanotan-2 on libido and erection, through stimulation of the cavernous nerves. It is through this that sex life can become even more satisfying, which will translate into other aspects of life.

Melanotan 2 - how to dilute?

To dilute melanotan (i.e. create a solution), combine the powder with water for injection. The finished solution should be kept in the refrigerator (for up to 2 weeks) - otherwise it will strongly lose its properties.

Melanotan 2 - safety and precautions

Although melanotan meets the expectations of many people, as with any substance certain precautions should be taken. First and foremost, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun within a short time of using melanotan, and remember to use sunscreen (preferably SPF50) if you are outdoors. In case of allergic reactions, discontinue use immediately and consult the situation with your doctor.

Also, if you are undergoing chronic treatment, it is worthwhile to consult with your treating physician about including melanotan treatment. It is also important to choose the right dose and follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Melanotan - the most common side effects

Side effects with melanotan include appetite suppression or a feeling of satiety (which for many, however, is an advantage). It is also possible to darken light-colored hair or develop spots similar to moles - these are simply places where melanin has accumulated in large amounts, and the "moles" themselves spontaneously disappear when melanotan is discontinued.
